We first met James (DJ Casionova) almost two years ago at Robot Disco Terror and quickly discovered his love for two things, italo and metal. We've invited him up from sunny Brighton to play a set from his tache heavy collection. He will be joined by the slabs residents - Andrew Ingram, Brian d'Souza and Hobbes (Trouble) - for a trip into the cosmos.

Red Planet

To keep things a wee bit more interesting on the blog in haste of the next slab, here are 5 tracks from the label Red Planet. With Mad Mike being the main force behind the releases there are many similarities to classic UR, as the tracks were crafted by the same hands with the same machines at the same time. But there is also something very different within the music of Red Planet which is harder to place. To me it feels almost even more above and beyond - music made by a Martian - beautiful sounding techno. So here is a selection of 5 tracks covering the Red Planet releases over the first 5 years from 92 - 97:
